O'Nju's Brief Bio: let us learn from grannies ... they are usually meek, humble, full of love, wisdom, goodness & witty | the Lord loves us sinners; but not our sins | witty O'Nju.. farewell & hello to family that went ahead.. |
Pa Morfaw (RIP) went ahead in 1982 |
Mama Njulefeh Joana Morfaw was born about 1920 to Chief Fualefock Ngosong and mama Nkengnjoh of Lefock, Lewoh, Alou sub division. In 1939, she got married to Mbe Morfaw Forminka, Minka, Njentse quarter, Lebang, Fontem sub Division. Through this union, they produced: 10 children, 35 grand, 47 great grand and 4 great great grand children and counting. Fondly called “orh” (mother) and “orh-Lepang” in Nwanchen, mama was an embodiment of care, endurance, remission, piety and above all fun. She would humorously paint a picture of people, animals, the environment and situations with sharp, apt, comic terms and expressions funny enough to make one laugh everlastingly… “Who will make us laugh again?” minka women cry!
In the words of some “Orh” Nju was a pure and living example of a mother richly endowed with incredible qualities. She was simple, down to earth, respectful, full of humility, sympathetic and caring. With such rare qualities no one can doubt that she is in Heaven!! Her transition has been further described as Value For A Lifetime Loss, adding that she was one bundle of joy, wonder, love and enthusiasm... meek, humble, full of love, pity and a community spirit... Her words, Actions and wishes were all goodness, wisdom and WITTY... She was one source of inspiration par excellence... She deserves true Rest in the Lord's mansion…where she can provide a veil of “heavenly” protection...
She was baptized in 2001 and it is well known, a few moments before her passing to eternity, her white rosary on her neck, she muttered “Holy Maria” as she bid “bye bye” to some of her children and a crowd of Nwanchen women present. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
NOTE:
An open invitation for family, friends and all to join by their physical presence, prayers and/or good thoughts as family gathers to bid "au revoir" to our octogenerian (great-great…grand) mom who went ahead to be with the Lord last Saturday 16 Oct. following a productive and fruitful life. May her soul rest in perfect peace!!
